Works are well on their way at Maes Merddyn Farmhouse. Internal work includes removing sand and cement rendering and replastering with traditional hemp lime plaster which will allow the walls to breath. We have also strengthend the structure of the first floor, insulated the hollow ground floors with Thermafleece and laid new solid oak flooring.

We have nearly completed this interesting project converting and renovating this redundant outbuilding, formerly the old village stores, situated at the base of Llanymynech rocks (the old lime quarries). 
All materials specified are traditional and sustainable. These include inovative clay blocks which in conjunction with wood fibreboard insulation and lime render create a breathable structure.

    Re-laying of the Staffordshire blue arrow head plain tile roof slopes.

    Repointing  to the external walls.

    Large amount of sensitive Keim mortar and stone replacement to all the window's masonry.

    New installation of French drains to the perimeter of the stone walls.
